What you need to join
Unachohitaji
- A smartphone: Android 8 or newer, or an iPhone with iOS 17 or newer.
- A Safaricom line in your own name for M-Pesa payouts. Sign up with that number in the app.
- Your national ID. In the app, tap Get verified and send photos of both sides and a selfie. Our team checks them before your first job.
- A next of kin we can call in an emergency.
- A DCI Certificate of Good Conduct (optional) for the good-conduct badge. Wasaidizi with it are offered jobs first.
Questions
Why do you need my ID and a selfie?
Families let you into their homes, so we check that every msaidizi is who they say they are. Our team compares your selfie with your ID. We keep the photos, your details and the result for as long as you have a Msaidizi account, seen only by our team, and delete them when you close it. You're told as soon as you're approved. If something needs fixing, the app tells you what.
Do I have to accept every job?
No. Decline it, or let the 30 seconds run out, and the job goes to the next msaidizi. Go offline whenever you want to stop.
Who pays for my transport?
The family. Transport is part of the price they see, and it's added to what you earn: KSh 100 within 3 km, then KSh 25 a km.
When do I get my money?
M-Pesa payments reach your wallet as soon as the family pays. Withdraw to your M-Pesa any time you have KSh 100 or more.
What if the family pays cash?
Collect the full amount in cash and tap Cash received. Msaidizi's 20% share is then taken from your next M-Pesa earnings, or you can pay it by M-Pesa.
Is my location shared all the time?
No. Your location is shared only while you're online, so we can send you nearby jobs and the family can see you coming.
When can I download Mfanyikazi?
Mfanyikazi is coming soon to Google Play and the App Store. We'll link these buttons to the stores on launch day.
